Navigating College & Junior Hockey

The University of Tampa cordially invites all interested hockey players and their parents to attend our annual Navigating College & Junior Hockey event. 

This event will assist prospective high school student-athletes in understanding how to navigate and prepare for college and/or junior hockey. Attendees will learn about: 

1. Overview of junior hockey in North America, levels, tryout timelines, and "pay-to-play" differences. 
2. The college admissions process and financial aid for hockey players. 
3. NCAA eligibility issues and communicating with coaches and admissions professionals. 
4. An insider's view of how decisions are made regarding hockey prospects.

This year's speakers will include: 

• Pat Dunn - Former professional hockey player, General Manager, & NAHL Executive of the Year. 
• Peter Cammick - President & Owner of Metro Jets Junior Hockey Club. 
• Brent Benner - Asst. VP for Enrollment Management at UT & former PHPA & NHL Career Coach. 

Campus Tours will be offered for those interested at the conclusion of the program.
