to be eligible to apply for BSN Program admission consideration.

If you have not applied to or are not currently a UTampa admitted student, have questions regarding initial admission to UTampa including transfer options, or need calculation of cumulative GPA, please contact the Admissions Office at Admissions@ut.edu.

Applications for admission to the University of Tampa’s BSN Program are accepted from July 15 until October 15 @ 11:59 p.m. EST every year. Students are notified mid-November if they were accepted to the BSN program.

Upon completion of this online application, please refer to the BSN Program Applicant Portal that will track your completion status. The portal will have additional requirements to complete your application including submission of TEAS scores and official transcripts from college course work taken outside of UTampa.

A minimum of (1) complete TEAS score is required for admission consideration. When registering for the TEAS, select the University of Tampa as the institution to receive your TEAS scores. Students can take the exam twice in an application cycle (October 16 – October 15).

Are you reapplying to UTampa's BSN Program?

*Students who are reapplying to UTampa’s BSN Program must submit all new documents: BSN Program Application, TEAS scores (taken between October 16 of previous year and due date October 15 of this year), and any official transcripts of college courses taken outside of UTampa.

I understand meeting the minimum requirements does not guarantee admission to UTampa’s BSN Program

I understand I must meet a minimum cumulative 3.25 GPA in all previously completed college coursework and a minimum of 2.5 prerequisite GPA (including dual enrollment and any college credits earned outside of UTampa) for my application to be considered.

I understand any/all remaining (in progress) prerequisites must be successfully completed with a minimum of “C” by the end of the semester in which the application is submitted.

I understand Advanced Placement (AP), International Baccalaureate (IB), and College-Level Examination Program (CLEP) courses are awarded credit hours but are not part of the cumulative GPA used for admission consideration.

I understand primary consideration is given to current UTampa students. Applicants who have completed a minimum of 12 credits at UTampa during the preceding Spring and/or Summer semesters and are enrolled in a minimum of 12 credits for the Fall semester of application (for the purposes of the Department of Nursing admissions decision process) are considered a current UTampa student. Applicants who have not completed a minimum of 12 credits at UTampa during the preceding Spring and/or Summer semesters and/or are not enrolled in a minimum of 12 credits for the Fall semester of application are considered as a transfer student.

I understand that as per the BSN Admissions Committee, any Spring 2020 courses that were assigned S/U instead of a letter grade are calculated into my cumulative GPA. "S" grades are given the letter grade of "C" and "U" grades are given the letter grade of "F".

I understand an admission invitation is conditional pending reassessment of cumulative GPA and any in-progress prerequisite final course grades to ensure all prerequisites were passed with a minimum of “C” and the cumulative GPA remains a 3.25 or above. If the GPA falls below 3.25 or a prerequisite course grade is below “C”, the admission invitation will be rescinded.

I understand all application documents must be completed and submitted online by October 15 at 11:59 p.m. EST for admission consideration. Incomplete applications will not be considered for admission.
